Neat things: The Art of the Photogravure

For a study break treat I spent some time looking at The Art of the Photogravure. I had learned a bit about it before dropping my preservation class (and yes, I will be taking it again) and really loved going through the image database and learning more about the process.

Here are a couple of images, courtesy of the site. The first is from 1868 by Thomas Annan:

Thanks for sharing the site! What a fascinating process, not to mention the look of the photos. For some reason they make me think the stories of Edgar Allen Poe.

Are you feeling back to normal now? I hope you are able to run, even if it is on the treadmill because of the icky weather.

Thanks! Yes pretty normal, as normal as I can be I suppose. I'm not quite 100% but I can only tell based on my heart rate when running - it's a tad higher than usual. Have you recovered, too?

It was called Northfork it was strange and so lovely at the same time. The art direction was Gorgeous!
